The Gegenschein, English counter-glow, or anti-solar point, describes the sun’s nebulous reflections upon dust and gas outside of our atmosphere. Us, as living beings, and objects as a kind of illuminate being, constantly emit a counter-glow that blooms an infinite amount of realities. This pan-conscious relationship (shared between human and object) opens the door to something uncanny - an unreachable entity outside of oneself, an abstract and unbearable multiplicity.

The artifacts left behind in the making of this post-human mythology are notes fourth removed from a sentient being. Objects re-encountered through an ecology built from faint tracings of previous records. Reality as a momentary encounter can be mimicked and replicated, but nothing accounts to a certain truth. We are drawn to the world’s articles, they beckon to us, inviting their own exploration and synthesis.
